estminster Specification 9
places the Trumpet stop in a horizontal position. When housed in
standard Westminster casework designs the lowest 5 pipes of the stop
are located inside the case with the remainder of the stop projecting
from the front. This is to maintain an appropriate visual
scale to the rest of the case. If the balance of the
specification is installed in chambers, for example, the Trumpet can be
installed on its own windchest. This will typically be considerably
more expensive than an integral solution, though, as the installation
becomes much more complex.
